Generation Hope
I am so excited to present to you the idea of Generation Hope! Generation hope or "Gen H" will be a YouTube channel with short testimonials from First Nations youth about how they found their hope in God. Each video will be about 5 to 10 minutes long and share some of the struggles, addictions, and mental health issues, but also the hope sought out and found in Jesus!
Jordan Blodgett and I will be working alongside Tribal Trails to produce this YouTube channel! Jordan will be doing a large majority of the recording and editing while I will be working on setting up the interviews, doing all the social media, and doing the interviews!
We have a number of people behind the scenes at Tribal Trails that we are accountable to. Brent Wahlstrom is overseeing the project and helping with direction as well as discernment. The tribal trail staff has been such a blessing in moving forward with this as there is a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to be had as they have been on the air for over 40 years!
Last weekend, January 22nd, we conducted our first interview for Gen H! Wyatt bird, one of the young adults that attend the Bible study held in Prince Albert, shared his testimony of God getting him through suicidal thoughts and depression while out on the trap line by Montreal Lake, SK. He shared his desperate heart calling out for God and God giving him answers and hope in Him!
We have one more interview with a man named Jonathan in the works and a couple more that have been talked about. We are very excited for Gen H to start coming to life!
We are planning to launch the YouTube channel at the beginning of 2024! Until then, we have lots of interviews to conduct, record, and edit! But in the meantime we will also be putting out social media content of behind the scenes footage.
